Willow bit her lip as she concentrated, frosting a cookie. It was to look like a starfish and she was trying her absolute hardest to make it look accurate, as it wasn't supposed to look smooth. Oddly enough, she had never seen a starfish before coming to the Real World, but she found them kind of cute and very interesting. She had seen them at the aquarium there, so she wanted to feature them in a summer-themed cookie. Ensuring the bumps of frosting she was making with piping bag even was difficult, since they were so small and precise, but they did look pretty good to her. Satisfied with her work, she put down the bag and placed the now frosted cookie with the batch of already finished ones to dry. She wiped her floury hands on the front of her apron, then wiped her brow, accidentally bumping the flower crown in her hair. Some people gave her flack for wearing them for whatever reason, but they kind of reminded her of home. Willow remembered picking flowers in the wild meadows around her home with her father and trying to make crowns out of them. They never ended up great, but here the creation of cloth flowers made them so much better. She quite liked them, especially since they were a reminder of a long-ago childhood.

Hearing the bell in the front door of her shop, Willow was pulled from her thoughts, putting a kind smile on her face. "Hello there! Welcome to Sgeadaichte, which means decorated in Scottish Gaelic." Willow easily pronounced the foreign word, it easily rolling off her tongue like second nature. Most people were unable to properly say the word since Gaelic as a general was pretty much a dead language, something she had sadly learned, but she still liked the name of her shop. It made it seem different than the other ones in San Francisco, which were puns or ironic, something she didn't really understand. "How can I help you?"

She had once been human. It had been long ago, even before Merida, but she still remembered it somehow.

She had lived in a small island off the coast of Scotland with her father. Her mother had died when she was young, so it was just her and her father. Her family was not part of a tribe, like most were. She lived a good childhood, playing amongst the nature and animals. Once she became of age, she took a trip to the mainland with the hopes of finding a job as a maid of some sort. After searching for quite some time, she found a job as an assistant in a castle owned by one of the tribes. She quite liked her job there as it allowed her to observe the royals’ lives from a distance, but not so far that she couldn’t watch them.

Soon after, it happened.

She had been in the forest near by the castle when she came across the little hut. A curious young woman, she knocked at the door. An old woman opened the door, then went through some spiel about a wood shop. Naturally, she didn’t believe the woman, quite sure that this woman was a witch. Witches were not common at the time, they were never common at all. But this woman just had the right air to her that made her seem like such. When she confronted the woman about this, the woman didn’t confirm her suspicions, but didn’t deny them either. The woman sent her away, asking for her to find a specific flower, telling her that she was destined for much greater things.

She brought the flower to the old woman the next day, curious once again about what she had been destined about. When she knocked on the door, there was no one there. The door was slightly ajar though, so she went inside. The women was in the corner, bent over something. After clearing her throat, she got the woman’s attention. The woman brought something over to her, something that looked like a cookie. She was hungry, as her job did not pay well, so she ate it quickly. The cookie made her feel funny, but it was food. The woman rambled on about fate among other things, then ushered her out, saying that she would soon find out what these greater things were. After stepping outside of the old woman’s shack, she began to feel dizzy. She passed out and when she woke up, she was no longer human. She was now a blue glowing ball in the air, unable to talk or continue living her life.

Time went on. She remained nearby to the witch’s hut, trying to lead people away from the witch’s hut. That’s when Merida found her and followed her path as a child, being ushered away by her father. She took an interest in this young girl, trying to assist her in anyway she could. A few years later, she met him, one of Merida’s younger brothers. She took it upon herself to watch over him as well, making sure that he didn’t get into too much trouble during their escapades with his two brothers.

When the darkness came, she was caught off guard. She didn’t know what to do as she was just a small ball of light, trying to help out people. For the first time in years, she fell asleep, inches away from making it across the portal. When she woke up, she was human again. This was different, but not new.

She set about ensuring that no one else became a victim to a witch’s cruel joke by opening up her own cookie shop, so that no one would ever eat a magical cookie in this weird new world.

NAME:
Willow was chosen because "will-o'-the-wisp" and its kind of naturey. (also it sounds like "will-o' " lol) Ailsa is a Scottish name that's also the name of an island off the coast of Scotland, which I made Willow from. Winslet is a pretty last name that also means channel or stream, so another naturey name. It also was added for the W alliteration.

PLAYBY:
Béatrice Martin was chosen because (1) she's absolutely gorgeous and (2) she's got this look to her that makes me think that she's this woman who takes risks without looking back. I also was looking for a reason to use her lol

BIRTHDAY:
August 9th

OCCUPATION:
Cookie shop owner: Willow became the wisps from eating something that looked like a cookie from the witch. Now she wants to make sure that no one eats bad cookies like she did by opening her own cookie shop :D

Guide in Haven Hill: She used to lead people in the Animated World away from the witch's home, but now she helps out the newcomers in Haven Hill, leading them in a sort of way! Willow loves helping people from the Animated World get situated, even though it's a volunteer job she has.

POWERS & ABILITIES:
She's able to get quick flashes of things occurring in the future and is fairly intuitive. When she's in the animated world,
she's able to get longer glimpses of what is to come in the future.

PERSONALITY:
She's quite feisty, actually. Willow is very bold and very spontaneous, doing things without fully thinking them through a lot. Her cookie shop was actually one of these things that she did in a spur of a moment decision, but ended up being a good thing. She's a bit on the shyer side around strangers, but if you're from the animated world, she'll warm up to you pretty quickly. She's sassy towards strangers, but not argumentative or confrontational.

BACKGROUND:
The wisps didn't have a background in Brave, so I made one up. TL;DR she was once human and the witch turned her into the little wisps and she lights up the forest trying to lead people away from the witch's hut.

CANON CUTOFF:
Shortly after the curse was set and Merida snuck her mother out of the castle.
