BECCA

Becca is yet another member that has returned to us, and was sorely missed in her absence. As much a part of the family as though she'd been here from the very beginning. She's always welcoming, always kind and supportive, and most importantly ready to offer all the magical feels-breaking plots you could ever ask for. So don't forget to show her your love next time you see her!

all you need is your own imagination, so use it. that's what it's for. go inside, for your finest inspiration, your dreams will open the door.
With her face so deeply embedded in her work, it was a miracle anyone knew her shop was open. Mounds upon mounds of boxes littered the floors, walls, and stairs of Esmiralda's little store, precariously stacked with only an organizational tool she seemed to understand. Wall to wall designs in every color of the rainbow created a beautiful display of her imagination, sorted by color, size, and style. There were Huaraches on the left, wedges on the right, and a wall of stilettos almost too high to reach in the middle of the store. She wasn't a retailer by any stretch of the word-- but for the amount of styles she offered in such a small space, it was surprising to most to find she didn't carry other's brands, but her own. Shoes were the love of Esmiralda's life-- well, perhaps that was a stretch. Her shoes were many things. They were a means of living, not only in her past life but in her present. They were a hobby in substitute of song and dance. And, most importantly, they were a crutch to heal her broken heart. As painfully embarrassing as it was to think about, there was no denying that Esmiralda had used her work to divert her feelings about her lost love. Her determination to vanquish all sadness from her life had birthed the creation of her very first pair of huarachas which had then bloomed into a thriving business that sustained her family for generations after she'd gone. And even now, as she sat hunched over her desk with a sketchbook laid before her, she could not deny that, even now, shoes were her cure-all. Her cure for poverty, her cure for a broken heart, and a cure for her boredom.

Today's most important order of business was going through and prioritizing her client's orders. Though the majority of Esmi's designs were shipped off for production, she still had a leather-bound journal, detailing her local orders that were, admittedly, more important than the designer's. As much as she loved seeing her designs in Vogue, she loved the personalized customer service that came with designing a handmade shoe for her patrons. Her fees were not high, though her dedication to her craft was, and each one of her local clients was incredibly important to her. Flipping through the leather planner, she could see that, between her calendar and her extensive phone notes, she had an appointment with one of her favorite clients. Margaret Chung certainly carried herself with a unique style. Esmi couldn't wait to see what she'd be creating next!

When the familiar bell chimed in her shop's doorway, Esmi's head tilted up from her work, glasses perched on her nose. "Magaret?" her gentle Mexican accent beckoned the customer in. Hopping up from the stool, the brunette tucked a loose hair from her messy updo behind her ear and hurried to the front. "Magaret, mi querido!" She extended her arms, placing them on the girl's shoulders. "It is so nice to see you. How are you? Come, come sit. We have much to discuss," and with a flourish, it was back to the drawing room as she lead her customer through the hills of shoe boxes, towards her working table and two stools. "Have you been well? Muy bien?"
