The way through the portal was different. Instead of nature, he was surrounded by technology… or least none open air. His nose could smell it. This place had not seen a whiff of that in ages. Which begged the question…. Where was he?

Dae now Desoto made his way from where the portal dropped the black and tan pooch and began exploring this new habitat. It was quiet and something about this place made the fur on this back stand to attention. So, the former attack dog made his way through, slowly and as quietly as a big dog like him could do, always alert as he made his way through the stale air.

When the flooring changed, to a tile like substance, so did the quiet. Instead of silence, his nails started tapping the flooring no matter how slow he was. It made him huff as he rounded the corner, only to see what could only be described as a larger moon, coming from outside a glass tunnel structure. It made the dog curious as he started to jog over, not caring about the silence for once. If he was going to make noise then he would get this part over with quickly. The combination of tile and movement, however, made the dog’s pads slip on the floor making Desoto fall onto his jaw and his body to spread out on the floor. It made him dazed for a second as he got up.

He did this slip and get up routine quite a few times, but he finally made it to the tunnel. Finally, he made it but not before slipping once more, finding himself hallway through the structure already. He was not amused by what had transpired at all but it was there on the floor when he realized that this stale-aired enclosure was in space and boy the look of wonder on that dog’s face. One could almost see his human face in its form, as he looked all over in amusement and wondering just how long this place had been here.

Notes: here ya go
Duchess

Duchess -as a cat she refuses to go by anything other than duchess- had also been surprised to find herself on a space station. She'd come through the portal expecting the trees and fresh air that you just couldn't find in San Francisco. She'd been exploring for a while now, sneaking around in the eerie silence.

Suddenly, she heard a noise. It almost sounded like foot prints. She tilted her head slightly, trying to gage what it was, or where it was coming from. It didn't long for her to pinpoint the direction, and once that was done then she was moving.

Finally, she came around the corner to see a very large dog sprawled out on the floor...apparently having slipped. "Oh," she said in surprise. She'd had the impression that she was alone on this...well, whatever this was.

She moved towards him, hoping that the popular theory that dogs hate cats wasn't true for this one. She'd been exploring this place for the past hour or two, so she thought she could get away fairly easily...but she really didn't want to test it. She stopped a few feet away, out of biting reach at least. "Monsieur, are you alright?"

For a Doberman, Desoto was huge, if there was a comparison it would be broad shouldered with plenty of healthy muscle surrounding his body. The portal had done very well with the body it had chosen for him, but in this case, he hated the portal for putting him here, in this place. It was because of how foolish the floor was making him seem. On the sidewalks of his New York, he was confident and his breeding showed but on tile, like this floor, he seemed like a young pup just starting to walk.

The only good thing about this place was the view of the moon from the glass tube. So, when he claimed this prized view he could not help but look in admiration at this floating spectacle. He even rolled onto his back to get a better glimpse at that all full and close glowing rock. It was a sight to see and enjoy until a voice peeped up.

This foreign sound made him quickly roll on to his feet and face the one who spoke only to see a cat. Usually, he would play it cool and let his mind run things but when it came to cats all bets were off. He just showed off a toothy grin and sat down, acting calm as the sweet kitty spoke again. ”I am quite alright. Are you well, Kitten?” Trying to give the feline a sense of calm, luring her into a false sense of security. He wouldn’t eat her like he tried to do with that orange kitten, those days were long gone, but that didn’t mean he couldn’t play with her a bit. Hopefully this time he did not gain a scar like he had from that small ball of fluff, on his nose.

caressa lacy bonfamille Sorry for the late reply. Thank you for taking this open though, Neverland. :)
